06/12/2025 - New Option to Omit Diagnoses from Notes and Claims

A new checkbox has been added to the diagnosis entry screen that allows providers and billers to omit specific diagnoses from both compiled notes and claims—without removing the diagnosis from the chart.

06/12/2025 - Ability to Unapply Client Payments from Service Lines

Previously, if a client payment was applied to a specific note, the only way to remove it was by processing a refund and then collecting a new payment. Now, you can simply move the payment to unapplied credit and reassign it to a different note as needed.

06/03/2025 - Send Client Statements to a Mailing Partner for Print and Mail

ICANotes+ now offers the option to electronically send client statements to a trusted third-party mailing partner. The partner will print and mail the statements directly to your clients on behalf of your practice—helping you save time, reduce administrative tasks, and ensure reliable delivery. You can choose to send statements individually or in batches, depending on your practice's needs.

06/02/2025 - The New In-app Messaging Feature
The new In-app Messaging feature allows practice users to send internal messages to other users within the practice. When a new message is received, a notification bubble appears, displaying the number of unread messages. Users can reply to or forward messages as needed. They can also print or delete messages. Additionally, users can map messages to the appropriate client if required. Custom folders can be created to categorize messages, helping users organize their inbox efficiently. The system also allows users to move messages between folders.

This release includes In-app Messaging. In-app Reminders are planned for a future update.

06/02/2025 - New Permissions Added for Productivity and Timely Filing Reports
You can now control access to financial data by assigning permissions for the Productivity Report and Timely Filing Report. These new permissions are available in the Roles and Permissions section under Practice Settings.

05/13/2025 - Support for Adding Tertiary Insurance for Clients
ICANotes+ already allows billers to add primary and secondary insurances. With this release, billers can now also add tertiary insurance for clients. When adding a new insurance, the Tertiary option appears alongside Secondary.

05/13/2025 - Automatic Hiding of Inactive Insurance in the Insurance Summary Bar
On the Insurance page, insurances that are inactive or expired no longer appear in the insurance panel header (blue bar). Once the insurance period ends, the system automatically marks the insurance as inactive and hides it from the summary bar.

05/13/2025 - Restriction on Adding Overlapping Insurance Policies
Billers are now prevented from adding insurance in the same category (primary, secondary, or tertiary) if the new policy’s date range overlaps with an existing policy. For example, if a client has Insurance A from 5/1/2025 to 5/31/2025 and the biller tries to add another policy from 5/20/2025 to 6/30/2025, a restriction message appears prompting the user to change the category or adjust the date range.

04/29/2025 - New Fields Added to Demographics Report
In the Demographics Report, the following new columns have been added. These columns will also appear when you run the report or export it to CSV, Excel, or PDF.
  1. DOB
  2. Last Appointment Date
  3. Last Appointment Status
  4. Last Note Date

04/29/2025 - Enhanced Refund Options: Partial Refund Now Supported
A new enhancement to the refund process allows users to issue partial refunds in addition to full refunds. This update provides billers with greater control and flexibility when managing client payments.

04/29/2025 - Reallocating Extra Client Payments to Unapplied
To ensure accurate claim balances and reduce manual corrections, the system now automatically moves extra client payments to the unapplied balance when posting insurance payments through ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) or MPP (Manual Payment Posting).

04/29/2025 - New 'Details' Button in Account Payments/Adjustments
A new 'Details' button has been added to the Account Payments/Adjustments tab, allowing users to view a breakdown of all services associated with a specific payment or adjustment.

04/16/2025 - Introducing the New Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan
The new Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan features a list of dimensions, each allowing you to add a related problem. When you select a dimension, a dropdown menu displays relevant problems for you to choose from. After selecting a problem, you can document its details using the standard treatment plan format. You can also include a risk rating from the ASAM module, if it has already been recorded.

04/15/2025 - Distribute Unapplied Payments Automatically
A new popup has been added to simplify and streamline the process of distributing unapplied payments. Now, when you click the Distribute button, a screen titled "Distribute Unapplied Payments" will appear, giving you a clear view of the transaction and two flexible ways to apply the payment:
  1. Automatically (default): Let the system apply the unapplied amount starting with the oldest encounters.
  2. Manually: You decide how much to apply to each line item.

04/15/2025 - New Integration: Support for Additional Clearinghouses
ICANotes+ now supports integration with three additional clearinghouses for claim submission:
  1. ClaimMD
  2. Trizetto
  3. OfficeAlly
This enhancement allows you to submit claims directly through any of these clearinghouses from within ICANotes+.

04/15/2025 - Enhancements to Payments/Adjustments Report 
We’ve introduced several improvements to the Payments/Adjustments report to provide clearer data insights and enhanced filtering options.

Totals Row Added
A new totals row has been added at the bottom of the final page of the Payments/Adjustments report (including exports). This row displays the cumulative values for key columns in the report.

New Filters Added
To help you refine the report output, the following filters have been added:
  1. Clinician
  2. Location
  3. Payment Start/End Date
  4. Posted Start/End Date
  5. Transaction Type 

Additional Updates to the Report
  1. The Date column in the report has been relabeled to Payment Date. This change also reflects in the exported file.
  2. The Transaction Type field is now included in the report export.

04/03/2025 -  Redesigned Chart Face: Improved Navigation and Accessibility
The Chart Face screen has been redesigned to enhance user experience by improving accessibility, navigation, and visual appeal. The new design provides a more intuitive layout, reduces scrolling, and ensures that all essential elements are easily accessible.

04/03/2025 -  Restricting Clinicians from Editing Other Clinicians’ Notes
A new permission, Edit Notes of Other Clinicians, is now available in the Roles & Permissions settings. This permission allows administrators to control whether clinicians can edit notes created by others.

Clinicians who do not have permission to edit notes created by other clinicians will see a restriction message when attempting to do so. Additionally, in Therapy Groups, the Compile Notes and Sign Notes buttons will be disabled for them, with a tooltip indicating that they are restricted from editing notes created by other clinicians.

04/03/2025 -  New Productivity Report
The Productivity Report helps administrators monitor provider efficiency and workload. This report offers insights into completed documentation, appointments, and billing entries, allowing practices to assess provider performance, track session counts, and ensure timely documentation. By leveraging this report, practices can optimize workflows and improve overall practice management.

04/03/2025 -  New Timely Filing Report
The Timely Filing Report helps billers track claims approaching their filing deadlines or those already overdue. By proactively managing these claims, users can minimize the risk of denials due to late submissions, ensuring a higher success rate for claim acceptance and reimbursement.

In a previous release, we introduced the ability to configure timely filing limits for insurances. You can set these limits in Settings > Practice Settings > Payer Settings.

In this release, we are introducing the Timely Filing Report, which allows billers to track claims approaching their filing deadlines. The report displays the number of days remaining before a claim reaches its timely filing limit. If the deadline has passed, the claim will appear as overdue in the report. Once a claim is submitted and payment is posted in the system, it will no longer appear in the report.

03/20/2025 - Billing Reports – Enhanced Filtering Options
Billing reports now feature additional filters at the top of the page, enabling you to refine report results based on specific criteria.

03/20/2025 - Updated Claim Consent Selection
The claim consent selection process now uses a dropdown list instead of checkboxes.

Changes
  1. When you create a new chart, the dropdown list defaults to Yes.
  2. You can change the selection based on communication with the client.

03/07/2025 -  Transfer Ownership to Another User of Practice 

The system now allows practice owners to transfer ownership to another user with an administrator role.

03/07/2025 -  Client Adjustment and Insurance Adjustment Displayed in Account Ledger 

The client's account ledger now includes two new columns to display Client Adjustment and Insurance Adjustment details.

03/07/2025 -  Billing Note Displayed on the Billing Report  

The Billing Report includes a Billing Note field, which displays notes associated with billing entries. Billers can hover over the field to view the full note. When exporting the report to PDF, CSV, or Excel, the billing note is included, ensuring all relevant billing information is retained.

03/07/2025 -  Pay to Address Field Added for Correspondence 
Billers can now enter a Pay to Address when the billing location differs from the practice address. This address is included in the 837 file when sending claims to vendors.

03/07/2025 -  Generating, Printing, and Downloading Batch Statements 

The software allows billers to generate statements for clients with a remaining balance. Statements can be generated, printed, and downloaded individually or in batches. However, statements must be generated before they can be printed or downloaded.

02/19/2025 -  Medication Expiration Date Displayed on Chart Face

The Current Medications section on the chart face now displays the medication’s expiration date. If a medication does not have an expiration date, it will be labeled as Chronic.

02/19/2025 -  Search Diagnosis Codes from the Master List When Placing a Lab Order 

You can now search for diagnosis codes from the master list when placing a lab order. Previously, only codes from your favorite list were available for selection. This enhancement allows you to search the full master list and select any diagnosis code.

02/19/2025 -  Copay Amount Now Supports Cents Entry 

Billers can now enter copay amounts in cents when adding or updating a client’s insurance details. Previously, decimal point entries were not supported.

02/19/2025 - Ability to Update Modifiers When Entering Service Codes 

When entering service codes in notes, you can now update modifiers. These updates will reflect in the compiled note. If you add a new modifier, it will be automatically configured in the Practice Settings Modifiers Short List.  New modifier codes added will initially appear without descriptions in practice settings. You can later update the description as needed.

02/19/2025 - Managing Authorizations 

The Managed Care Authorizations module in ICANotes+ helps users efficiently track and handle managed care authorizations. This feature ensures that services provided to clients are covered by their insurance, reducing billing errors. Authorizations are utilized when creating clinical notes, ensuring that visits or services are properly tracked against available authorizations.

01/21/2025 - Email Confirmation for Appointments Scheduled via Quick Share Link 

Clients will now receive an email confirmation when they request an appointment using the Quick Share Link. Previously, email acknowledgments were sent only when the 'Automatically Confirm Appointments' flag was enabled. With this update, an email confirmation will also be sent when the flag is disabled.

01/21/2025 - Display 'Billing Note' on the Aging by Service Date Report
In the previous release, we introduced the Billing Note feature in the Billing Worklist, allowing billers to add notes directly from the Billing Worklist tab. With this update, billing notes will now be displayed on the Aging by Service Date report. The billing note will also be included when the report is exported to PDF, CSV, or Excel.

01/21/2025 - Configure Timely Filing Limit for Payers
You can now configure timely filing limit for payers based on state-specific rules and regulations. This ensures claims are submitted within the required timeframe. Claims exceeding this limit will be flagged on the billing worklist. Additionally, you can enable a setting to receive notifications a few days before the filing period expires. 

 


NotesIn this release, the configuration for setting timely filing limits is available on the Add/Edit Insurance screen. Its impact on the billing worklist, reports, and notifications will be introduced in future releases.

01/21/2025 - View Insurance Details Without Expanding the Insurance Panel

The software now displays primary and secondary insurance details directly on the Insurance panel within the Billing tab. This enhancement allows billers to quickly review insurance information without needing to expand the panel.

01/03/2025 - The New Chart Flag Message Feature

The Chart Flag Message feature enables practice users to set client-specific reminders for clinicians and staff. A flag icon appears next to the client’s name on their chart, which opens a screen to create a new chart flag message. If a message has already been created by another user, it can be viewed by clicking the same icon. This feature also offers options to snooze messages for a chosen duration and set priority levels. Additionally, a centralized location is available for managing chart flag messages for all clients.

01/03/2025 - Receive Lab Results Electronically for Orders Not Placed Through ICANotes+ 

ICANotes+ now supports receiving electronic lab results for orders not placed through the system. These results will appear in the Unsolicited Results tab, where you can map them to the appropriate client. Once mapped, the results can be viewed directly from the client's chart.

01/03/2025 - Enhanced Aging by Service Date Report

The Aging by Service Date Report has been updated with the following improvements: 

 

  • New 'No Grouping' Option - A new No Grouping option is now available in the Group By dropdown menu. When this option is selected, the report will display data without group headers.
  • Display of Unapplied Payments - The report now displays unapplied payments beneath the client’s date of birth.

12/12/2024 - New Permission to Generate Invoice 

A new permission 'Generate Invoice' has been added in the Billing section to control access to generating invoices. Users must have this permission to generate invoices from the Billing tab or within a Note. Users without this permission will see a restriction tooltip when they hover over the Generate Invoice option.

12/12/2024 - Added Permission to Edit Client Balance 

In the previous release, a feature was introduced allowing users to edit client balances in the Account Ledger section. In this release, the feature has been updated to include permission-based access. Now, only authorized users can edit client balances. A new permission, 'Edit Client Balance from Account Ledger' has been added to the Roles & Permissions section. Users without this permission will receive a toast notification informing them they are not authorized to edit client balances.

12/12/2024 - Integration with the 'Etactics' Clearinghouse for Insurance Eligibility Verification
In the previous release, the Etactics clearinghouse was introduced, allowing practices to submit claims and download remittances. With this release, users can now also verify clients' insurance eligibility through the clearinghouse. 

 

12/12/2024 - Resizing Columns for Enhanced Data Visibility

In ICANotes+, you can now adjust the width of table columns to improve data visibility. The columns will reset to their default width when you refresh the page or navigate away and return. To resize a column, hover your cursor between two column headers and drag it left to narrow or right to widen the column.

ICANotes+ is now integrated with the Etactics clearinghouse, enabling practices to submit claims and download remittances. To activate this new clearinghouse for your practice, please contact our customer support team. 

 

11/26/2024 - Adjusting Client Balances in the Account Ledger   
Billers can now directly adjust client balances within the Account Ledger section using a new pencil icon in the Client Balance column. This feature ensures that when the client balance is updated, the insurance balance is automatically adjusted.

11/26/2024 - New Permission to View Invoices and Superbills   
A new permission 'View Invoice and Superbill' has been added in the Billing section to control access to viewing invoices and superbills. Users must have this permission to view invoices and superbills from the Billing tab, Documents tab, or within a Note. Users without this permission will see a restriction tooltip when they hover over the View Invoice or View Superbill options.

11/26/2024 - New 'Next Responsibility' Field in ERA and Manual Posting Worklist   
ICANotes+ introduces a new feature that lets you allocate the remaining balance to the primary payer, secondary payer, or client. To support this functionality, the Next Responsibility dropdown has been added to both the ERA Worklist and Manual Posting Worklist. This dropdown is available for records with Not Ready and Ready to Post statuses.

11/26/2024 - View Subtotal and Grand Total on the Aging by Service Date Report   
The Aging by Service Date Report now includes a Subtotal and Grand Total column on the far-right side of the report.
The Subtotal and Grand Total values will also be included when exporting the report to Excel or PDF.

11/12/2024 - Payer Rules - Improved Clarity in the Rule with Field Prefixes
Previously, when creating a payer rule, the sentence format did not clearly specify which details were being referenced. For example, a rule created to replace the "Billing NPI" would only display "NPI" in the rule, making it unclear if it referred to the Billing NPI, Rendering Provider NPI, or Referring Provider NPI. Now, the exact detail will appear within the rule.

11/12/2024 - Restricted Creation of ICANotes+ Accounts Using Disposable Email Addresses
ICANotes+ now prevents users from creating accounts with disposable email addresses. If a user attempts to sign up with any temporary email providers, they will be prompted to use a different email address. This restriction applies to signing up for new user accounts, inviting users, sending patient portal invitations, creating charts, and adding client contact details.

10/29/2024 - Therapy Group: Compile and Sign All Notes Together 
You can now compile and sign all notes simultaneously in therapy groups, especially useful when there are multiple participants. Instead of compiling and signing notes for each participant individually, this feature allows you to do so for all participants at once, streamlining the documentation process and improving efficiency.

You can now easily navigate back to the therapy group session after accessing a compiled note. A new Return to Therapy Group Session button has been added to the compiled note screen, enabling smooth navigation.

10/29/2024 - Lab Orders: Remove Failed Orders Feature  
A new Remove Lab Failed Orders button has been added to the Lab Orders page, allowing users to quickly remove all electronic lab orders marked with a "failed" status. This feature streamlines the management of lab orders by enabling users to easily clear failed orders, helping maintain an organized and up-to-date view of both pending and completed orders.

10/29/2024 - Availity: New Clearinghouse for Insurance Eligibility Verification 
ICANotes+ is now integrated with the Availity clearinghouse, enabling practices to verify clients' insurance eligibility as well as submit claims and download remittances. To activate this new clearinghouse for your practice, please contact our customer support team. 

 

10/29/2024 - Ability to Submit Claims to the Secondary Payer 

ICANotes+ enables you to submit claims to secondary payers, with the option to include/exclude payment details from the primary payer.

10/15/2024 - Therapy Group - Access to Previous Notes 

In the Group Therapy Progress Note screen, when generating notes from a therapy group and accessing the work area of a specific note, you have the option to move through notes sequentially using the Continue to Next Note button. With this release, a new Continue to Previous Note button has been added, allowing you to easily navigate back to review previous notes. This enhancement improves the ability to reference prior notes during the documentation process.

10/15/2024 - Allocating Client Payments to Outstanding Charges 

ICANotes+ enables you to easily allocate client payments to outstanding charges, starting with the oldest date of service. The newly added "Distribute" button, located in the Account Payments/Adjustments tab, allows you to efficiently apply unapplied payments. This feature streamlines the process of distributing unapplied client payments across outstanding balances.

10/15/2024 - Include Secondary Payer when Submitting Claims to Primary  

By default, when submitting a claim to the primary payer, the system will also send the secondary payer details. However, if you prefer not to include secondary payer information, you can opt out. 
In the Unbilled Encounters tab, scroll to the right to find the Include P/S column. This allows you to uncheck the box for the secondary payer. To include the secondary payer details when submitting to the primary payer, simply leave the checkbox selected.

The Therapy Group feature in ICANotes+ is a comprehensive tool designed for managing group therapy sessions. Accessible only to authorized users, this feature allows for the creation, modification, and deactivation of therapy groups. Users with the appropriate permissions can also manage therapy group sessions, including adding and removing participants, assigning service codes, and tracking attendance.


Once a therapy group is created, users can configure group details, such as appointment types and participant lists, based on their security access. The Therapy Group feature integrates seamlessly with the Calendar, ensuring that any updates made in the Therapy Group module or Calendar are synchronized. Capture Manual Signatures on Notes and Treatment Plans  
In addition to capturing electronic signatures, you can now capture manual signatures on notes and treatment plans.


When compiling a note or treatment plan, you will find an option labeled Include blank signature lines for print in the right pane. By selecting this checkbox, blank signature lines will be added to the bottom of the notes and treatment plan.


After printing, you can manually collect signatures from the relevant individuals, such as clinicians, clients, parents/guardians, or others.

ICANotes+ now automatically populates the payer list from the Inovalon clearinghouse portal. When adding a new payer, there is no need to manually enter the payer name. As you begin typing, a list of payers from the Inovalon clearinghouse will appear, allowing you to select the appropriate payer.

06/11/2024 - Use the Billing Address same as the Practice Address when Subscribing to ICANotes+  
When subscribing to ICANotes+, you can now enter the billing address to match the practice address by clicking the provided button. On the Billing Address screen, you will find a new button labeled "Same as Practice Address." You can click this button to automatically fill the billing address fields with the practice address.

05/31/2024 - Displayed Note for eRx Setup Fee
Administrators will now see a note on the eRx Setup and Identity Verification page regarding the one-time eRx setup fee. When they navigate to Personal Preferences > E-prescribing tab > Setup & Identity Verification section, a note appears at the top of the screen. The note reads: "Note: Setting up eRx for the Practice will be charged as a one-time fee of $99 for eRx setup."


05/31/2024 - Reverse Adjustment Functionality for Billers
Billers now have the ability to reverse adjustments applied to a client account, ensuring that any mistakenly added adjustments can be accurately removed. This enhancement ensures that the Account Ledger charges and Account Summary are precise.

05/29/2024 - Record Cardholder Presence When Adding a Credit Card Details 
To meet Mastercard's compliance requirements, ICANotes+ will now prompt you with a question whenever you add a new credit card: "Is the cardholder present?" You must answer Yes or No before continuing. This question will also appear for saved cards that have not yet been used for transactions. This procedure helps us ensure secure credit card transactions.

05/13/2024 - Enhanced Appointments Report to Display Client's Preferred Phone Number 
We have upgraded the Appointments Report to include the display of client's preferred phone number. Now, when viewing the report, you will have access to this information at a glance. Furthermore, when exporting the report to PDF, Excel, or .csv formats, the client's phone number will also be included for comprehensive accessibility.


05/13/2024 - Encounter Date Label Renamed to Date on All Notes 
In this update, we have made a change to the labeling of dates on notes. Previously, the label "Encounter Date" was displayed in the header and footer of compiled notes. We have now streamlined this label to simply "Date." This change has been applied universally across all notes.


05/13/2024 - Ability for the Administrators to Configure Billing Rates for Clinicians
Administrators now have the capability to set up billing rates for clinicians through the Settings menu under Revenue Cycle Management > Clinical Billing Rates. Clinicians can conveniently access these rates via Personal Preferences > Revenue Cycle Management > Clinical Billing Rates. Any adjustments made by administrators will be reflected in clinicians' personal preferences, and vice versa. If either party attempts to modify the billing rate for a service code associated with existing notes, a confirmation message will prompt to apply the updated rate to unfinished notes.

04/30/2024 - View Co-signature Requests Sent to Other Clinicians 
Users can now view co-signature requests sent to other clinicians, subject to  their assigned permissions. A new permission, "View Other Clinicians' Co-Signature Requests," has been added under Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions to enable this functionality. Only users granted this permission can access and view co-signature requests sent to other clinicians.

04/30/2024 - Lab Order Enhancements 
The Labs feature has undergone enhancements, as detailed below:

  • The Draw Date and Draw Time fields have been renamed to Collection Date and Collection Time respectively.
  • At the order level, you can now select the Collection Date when creating a lab order.
  • A new option called Order Level Instructions has been introduced for recording instructions on the requisition when creating a lab order.
  • While placing a lab order, you can now select one primary and one secondary insurance. The system will then include insurance details along with guarantor details for the respective insurances on the order.

04/30/2024 - View Chief Complaints Properties on the Complete Evaluation Note 
The system has been upgraded to showcase chief complaints as shrub content within the Complete Evaluation Note. In order to view chief complaints on the note, it's essential to perform initial configuration.

04/30/2024 - Review Denials and Negative Balances on Claims 
The ERA Worklist has been enhanced to alert billers about denials and negative balances on claims. In the ERA Worklist, expanding payer details reveals an info icon next to the client name. Hovering over this icon notifies you to review denials/negative balances on the claim. Similarly, expanding client details reveals the info icon next to services with denials/negative balances. Billers can then review and make necessary corrections before resubmitting claims.

04/12/2024 - Enhancement: Prevent Deletion of Notes with Applied Payments or Adjustments within Charges 

In instances where a note is associated with one or more charges that have payments or adjustments applied, the system will now restrict the deletion of such notes. A notification will be displayed when attempting to delete the note, indicating that payments or adjustments have been applied to one or more charges. To proceed with deletion, it is necessary to refund payments or reverse adjustments, applied if any.

04/02/2024 - ASAM / Chemical Dependency Assessment

ICANotes+ enables you to document information within the ASAM module, which comprises six dimensions. After recording details for each dimension, you can generate and preview the note from the Recommendation tab. Within this tab, you can enter diagnosis codes, service codes, offer recommendations, document time spent, and insert the highest risk ratings. These entries will subsequently be incorporated into the compiled note.

Electronic Labs and Results

ICANotes+ enables you to electronically place orders and receive results. After successfully integrating with the desired labs, coordinate further configuration with our customer support team. Once the connection is established, you will see an option to place electronic orders when creating a lab order. You can print a requisition after the order is confirmed by the lab. After the lab processes your order and sends back the result, you can access it from the Lab Results screen. You can mark the result as reviewed and map it with the desired notes within ICANotes+. Results can also be accessed from the Documents tab within the chart room.

04/02/2024 - Conditional Display of First and Last Name Fields Based on eLabs Activation   

In this release, we're introducing a new capability that controls the visibility of the "First Name (as listed in the NPI registry)" and "Last Name (as listed in the NPI registry)" fields within the Personal Preferences > Personal Information > Identifiers section. These fields will now only be displayed when the "Electronic Labs and Results" feature is activated for the practice.

03/13/2024 - Co-signature
Providers now have an ability to request co-signatures from fellow providers for their notes. After creating, compiling, and signing a note, the sender can initiate a co-signature request. The recipient providers will then see the note in their pending co-signatures list and can sign it. Once all co-signatures are obtained, the note is removed from the pending list. If multiple providers are requested to co-sign, the sender can view all signatures on the note with timestamps.

03/13/2024 - Enhanced Feature: Recording Service Code Instances with Identical Numbers

Previously, the system restricted the recording of duplicate service codes. Now, you have the flexibility to add multiple instances of the same service code, provided they have distinct descriptions.

ICANotes+ enables you to generate discharge summaries for your clients from the compiled notes. When you compile any notes other than the Clinical Summary and Treatment Plan, you can see an option to create a discharge summary within the compiled notes. The Discharge Summary feature allows you to document information such as care summary, assessments, narratives, discharge instructions, referrals, follow-up instructions, and the care team associated with the clients.

12/29/2023 – Clinical Summary

ICANotes+ enables practice users to generate clinical summaries for their clients. Much like other notes, users can construct a clinical summary, compile it, and capture the clinician's electronic signature. Clinicians have the ability to input narratives that will be included in the compiled note. Within the clinical summary, users can incorporate medical history, diagnoses, adverse drug reactions, medications, and vital signs.

The administrators can now efficiently manage the clinical team by clients. Previously, the administrators could add clinical team only when accessing the client's chart. This enhancement allows them to add clinical team members from the centralized location (Caseload Security section) that reduces their time and efforts. The administrators can also modify the principal clinician from the Caseload Security section.

 

12/20/2023 – New "Payments / Adjustments Report"

The new Payments/Adjustments Report enables the users to generate a detailed report of client and insurance payments and adjustments. This detailed report aids in conducting thorough investigations of any discrepancies, ensuring accurate recording of all received payments to respective accounts and verifying the completion of necessary adjustments. Additionally, it facilitates efficient follow up on account balances and enables necessary adjustments to be made.

12/11/2023 – Caseload Security Feature

The Caseload Security feature provides three customizable options for chart access for clinicians. Clinicians can either be granted access to all activities in shared charts within their clinical team, as determined by the client's Chart Face assignment. Alternatively, their access can be limited to only their own activities in the charts they are assigned to. Administrators retain unrestricted access to all charts and are not bound by these access settings.

12/08/2023 – New Treatment Plan

The Treatment Plan is redesigned with new user interface and flexibility that allows the users easily navigate within Treatment Plan items and record manifestations, long term goals, short term goals, interventions, strengths, and barriers. When you record shrub content in the respective section, it appears in the yellow card where you can make necessary changes to display them in the preview pane.
