Working with Chart Flag Messages

Working with Chart Flag Messages

Overview

The Chart Flag Message feature enables practice users to set client-specific reminders for clinicians and staff. A flag icon appears next to the client’s name on their chart, which opens a screen to create a new chart flag message. If a message has already been created by another user, it can be viewed by clicking the same icon. This feature also offers options to snooze messages for a chosen duration and set priority levels. Additionally, a centralized location is available for managing chart flag messages for all clients.

Create a Chart Flag Message from Client's Chart Face

To create a chart flag message for a client, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to client's chart.
  2. Click the flag icon next to the client’s name.

This action opens a screen where you can create a chart flag message. If a message already exists, it will be displayed on this screen.

Screen Details:

  • Client Information: The client’s name is displayed at the top.
  • Yellow Box: Enter the chart flag message here.
  • Clear Note: Clears the message content upon confirmation.
  • Priority: Select this checkbox to assign priority to the message. Priority messages automatically pop up when users access the client’s chart, ensuring quick action.
  • Snooze: Recipients can snooze the message to schedule follow-up actions for a later date.
  • Assign User Role: Use the dropdown to assign one or more roles. Users assigned these roles can view the flag message for the client.
  • Create Custom Instructions Button: Click this button to create templates and use them to insert content in the yellow box.

After creating the chart flag message, click Save.

A success message will confirm the action, and the flag icon will turn red to indicate that a flag message is associated with the client.

Automatically Open High-Priority Chart Flag Messages

When a chart flag message is marked as high priority, it will automatically pop up whenever users access the client’s chart. This ensures quick follow-up actions can be taken. Refer to the following screenshot for an example of how it appears:

Ability to Snooze the Chart Flag Message

For high-priority chart flag messages, recipients have the option to snooze the message for a specific number of days. During this snooze period, the message will not pop up automatically, allowing users to schedule follow-up actions for a later time.

Manage Chart Flag Messages for All Clients

Easily manage chart flag messages for all clients from a centralized location. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Chart Flag Messages. This section displays all existing chart flag messages assigned to clients.

Screen Details:

  • Search: Use the smart search bar to search the flag message.
  • Priority: Select the checkbox to prioritize the flag message. To remove the priority, clear the checkbox.
  • Chart: Access the client's chart face.
