This KB article includes the enhancements released in ICANotes+ version v5.23.
With this software update, you now have the ability to link lab results directly to client notes. If the required notes are not found in the existing list, leverage this feature to create new notes and seamlessly connect them to the received lab results.
On the Lab Results page, find the More Actions dropdown located at the far right. Click on the dropdown and choose the Map to Note option, as illustrated below.
The Map to Note screen appears as shown below. When you click the dropdown, it lists all the compiled notes of the client as shown below. Select the desired note to map the lab result.
After mapping the result with the desired note, you can find the information icon next to the order number. Hovering your mouse over the info icon will display the mapped note associated with the lab result, as illustrated in the screen below.
When the desired note doesn't appear in the list, you can create a new note to map the lab result. Click the Create New Note link within the dropdown.
The Create New Note appears as shown below. Click the dropdown and select the desired note type to create a new note.
When you create a new note to map the lab result, the Include Mapped Result checkbox appears selected by default on the note as shown in the screen below:
On compiling the note, you can see an indication on the compiled note that the lab results are entered for the lab order, as illustrated in the screen below. You can also click the View Results button from the top to view the result details.
When you click the View Results button, the lab result details appear as shown below. You can print the lab results if needed.
When initiating a request for insurance eligibility verification through a clearinghouse, a unique ID is essential for transmitting your request. ICANotes+ now allows you to customize the Eligibility ID uniquely for each insurance provider. This ID is utilized during the transmission of eligibility requests to insurance companies.
You can set up the Eligibility ID when:
When configuring an insurance in ICANotes+, you can add Eligibility ID for each insurance. Navigate to Settings > Practice Settings > Payer Settings. Locate the Eligibility ID as shown in the screen below:
When adding an insurance for a client, you can add Eligibility ID from the client's chart. Navigate to Chart Room > Billing tab > Add Insurance option as shown in the screen below:
When adding an insurance for the client, you can locate add the Eligibility ID as highlighted in the screen below:
The software now allows you to add custom problems in Treatment Plan.
Navigate to client's chart, select the Treatment Plan tab, and click the Add New Treatment Plan link as shown below:
Click the Manage Problem List link as shown in the screen below:
On the Manage Problem List screen, while adding a new problem, if you don't find the required problem in the list, you can start typing the desired problem as shown below:
Once you type in the custom problem and click on the Add Custom Problem link, you will be redirected to the following screen to add custom content.
The button name automatically populates, you can proceed to add variations in the designated boxes and click Save as shown in the screen below:
When you save the custom content, the problem details appear in the preview pane as shown in the screen below.
The system is now enhanced with the following ICD10 Codes.
When you record the notes, you can include these codes as shown in the screen below.
The Transaction Type column is removed from the ERA Worklist screen. When you navigate to Dashboard > Payments Worklist > ERA Worklist tab, the Transaction Type column will no longer appear on the screen that is highlighted in the screen below:
