Overview
ICANotes+ version 8.13 brings new features and improvements to enhance functionality and user experience.
New Unapplied Payments Report
The Unapplied Payments Report provides a detailed view of client payments that have been entered but not fully applied. It helps track remaining unapplied amounts, ensuring that all payments are properly allocated. The report includes client details, payment information, and balances, allowing staff to quickly identify unapplied funds and manage client accounts more efficiently.
This report can be exported in CSV, PDF, or Excel format, similar to other reports.
To access the Unapplied Payments Report:
- Select More from the left sidebar.
- Select Reports.
- In the Report dropdown, select Unapplied Payments Report.
Enhanced Payer Rules

Where to find these fields
Navigate to Settings > Revenue Cycle Management > Payer Rules. Create or edit a rule, and expand the Object/Field dropdown to view the new options.
For example, when Billing Entity Qualifier is selected, a box appears to enter the value that will be sent to the clearinghouse when the claim is submitted.
Enhanced CSV Export for All Reports
In the previous release, CSV exports were improved for the Aging by Service Date and Collections reports.
In this release, the same improvements have been extended to all remaining reports:
- Flattened data presentation for simpler sorting and filtering.
- Groupings moved into their own column for better organization.
- Removed page numbers and generation timestamps for a cleaner export.
These enhancements make CSV files more structured, user-friendly, and ready for further analysis.
The snapshot below shows the updated Demographics Report in CSV format.

When filtered by Insurance, only insurance amounts appear, with the insurance total displayed in the far-right column.
When filtered by Client, only client amounts appear, with the client total displayed in the far-right column.
