v7.10 Release Notes (Release Date: January 03, 2025)

Overview

ICANotes+ version 7.10 introduces new features and enhancements to improve functionality and user experience. 

 

Receive Lab Results Electronically for Orders Not Placed Through ICANotes+ 

ICANotes+ now supports receiving electronic lab results for orders not placed through the system. These results will appear in the Unsolicited Results tab, where you can map them to the appropriate client. Once mapped, the results can be viewed directly from the client's chart. 

 

NotePlease reach out to our customer support team to configure the necessary settings for this feature. 

 

 

(1) Navigate to the Labs Section: 

 

From the left sidebar, select Labs. You'll find a new Unsolicited Results tab, which displays all lab results for orders not placed in ICANotes+. 

 

 

 

 

 

(2) Map Results to a Client:

 

  • Click the Map to Client link located on the far left side of the table.

 

 

 

  • On the Map to Client pop-up, review the client's name provided in the result.

 

 

 

  • Use the smart search box to search for and select the appropriate client in ICANotes+.

 

 

(3) Confirm Mapping: 

 

  • Once the correct client is selected, click the Map to Client button. 

 

 

 

  • A success message will confirm that the result has been mapped successfully. You can see the mapped client's name in the far left column of the table. 

 

 

 

 

(4) View Mapped Results: 

 

  • Access the client's chart to review the unsolicited lab results. 

 

 

 

  • Additionally, you can find these results in the Documents tab within the client's chart, as shown in the screenshot below. 

 

 

 

 

 

Add a 'Billing Note' in the Billing Worklist 

You can now add and manage billing notes directly within the Billing Worklist. This feature is available on both the Unbilled Encounters and Billed Encounters tabs.

 

Click the Add Billing Note button located on the far-right side of the table. 

 

 

 

A pop-up screen will appear, allowing you to enter a billing note of up to 250 characters. After entering the note, click Save to save your changes.

 

 

 

When the billing note is saved, it appears on the table as shown below. For longer notes, hover over the note to view the complete text. To edit a note, click the pencil icon next to it. 

 

 

 

The system records all changes to billing notes, including the username, date, and time of the modification. 

 

 

 

 

Enhanced Aging by Service Date Report 

The Aging by Service Date Report has been updated with the following improvements: 

 

  • New 'No Grouping' Option 
  • Display of Unapplied Payments 

 

New 'No Grouping' Option

A new No Grouping option is now available in the Group By dropdown menu. When this option is selected, the report will display data without group headers.

 

 

 

Exported CSV and Excel files will automatically exclude headers, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

 

 

 

Pagination details in larger datasets will also be removed in future updates.

 

 

 

 

Displayed Unapplied Payments on the Report

The report now displays unapplied payments based on the selected grouping option. 

 

When the report is grouped using any of the following options, unapplied payments are displayed on the far-left side beneath the client’s date of birth, as shown in the screenshot below: 

 

  • Client
  • Payer, Service Location, Clinician
  • Payer, Service Location, Clinician, Client
  • Payer, Service Location, Clinician, Client, Service Code

 

 

 

 

 

When the report is grouped using any of the following options, unapplied payments are displayed in the Client column beneath the client’s date of birth, as shown in the screenshot below: 

 

  • Clinician
  • Payer
  • Payer, Service Location
  • Service Code
  • Service Location

 

 

 

Insurance Payers Added to the Demographics Report 

The Demographics Report now includes insurance payer details for clients. The following new columns have been added to the report: 

 

  • Primary Insurance
  • Secondary Insurance
  • Other Insurance

 

 

These columns are also included when exporting the report to CSV, Excel, or PDF formats.
