This knowledge base article will assist ICANotes clients with utilizing the Topaz signature pad on the TSPlus (or "web-based") login at http://ehr.icanotes.com. In our ongoing efforts to strengthen the security of your ICANotes account, clients utilizing the Topaz signature pad must use the web-based login. Installing the Topaz SigWeb extension enables the signature pad to be used within ICANotes. Each section in this guide is highlighted for easier navigation.
Security Administrators can call ICANotes Support at 443-569-8778 to request enabling of the Topaz Signature pad group rule.
What is Topaz SigWeb?
Topaz SigWeb is a software created by Topaz Systems to allow integration functionality between their Topaz signature pads and a company's web application. We use this directly inside our ICANotes session to allow you to pass your signatures into ICANotes. Where to Purchase a Topaz Signature Pad
ICANotes only works with a specific model of Topaz pad. The model number is T-LBK462-BSB-R. Please be sure that the interface type is Virtual Serial via USB.

Prices range from $356 to $440.00. Topaz signature pads should be purchased from an authorized reseller to ensure that a warranty is available.

A 3-year limited warranty should be included in any device you purchase. Companies such as eBay are unlikely to provide a warranty.

Installing the Topaz SigWeb Software
Please leave your Topaz Signature Pad unplugged during the installation process. Once it tells you “SigWeb Setup completed successfully” you may plug in your device.
You may download our Quick Installer at https://upload.icanotes.com/installers/win/InstallTopaz.exe
After downloading, run the installer and accept the ICANotes Topaz Installer terms provided by Topaz by selecting Yes.
You may receive a prompt asking to allow this app to make changes to your device. You will have to select Yes to allow the Topaz SigWeb application to make changes to your device.
SigWeb will install on your device to support most modern browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera, and IE11+). It will finish by saying “SigWeb Setup completed successfully”.
