Editing the Drug List

If a medication does not show on the medication list you have the ability to add it. Follow these steps to add a medication. 

1. Click the Screenshot for Editing the Drug List button by Medications.

2. When in the Medication Entry window, click the Screenshot for Editing the Drug List button.

3. On the new popup Medication Entry window, click the Screenshot for Editing the Drug List button.

4. Enter the medication name and medication dosage (optional - add the RxNorm code). Then click the Save button.

5. The medication will now show on the drug list. If you click the "Include in List" option by the medication it will show on the medication list. You may wish to enter multiple variations of the same drug at different dosages, based on your prescribing needs.

Note: For any prescribing clinicians utilizing custom layouts to include two DEA numbers (such as a DEA and NADEAN), be sure to check the 'Use Suboxone Number' option to include the secondary DEA number on the printed prescription. 

An alternate DEA or NADEAN can be added in the Personal Info tab of individual Settings & Directories

6. Click the Screenshot for Editing the Drug List button to return to the Medication Entry window.

7. If you chose to show the medication on list, you will be able to find on the dropdown menu.

8. The medication will show on the medication list when chosen from the work area.

The medication will also show on the finished note.
