What information carries forward from note to note?

The following information will carry forward from note to note in ICANotes+.

As a general rule of thumb, look to the bottom of each note type to view the Key designating how color-coded fields behave within notes:

Yellow = Specific to this note (does not carry forward)

Red = For all notes (shared field across all notes)

Blue = Carries forward to next note

If a second Complete Evaluation is done on a patient, all information from Medical History will carry forward by default from the first Complete Evaluation.  The clinician can always delete old information or create an addendum to update a specific history field.

Progress notes and SOAP notes will carry the Medical History and Health Concerns and Risk Factors (The provider can find them in the PN, part 2).

Couples/Family Therapy notes will carry Health Concerns and Risk Factors only.

Clinicians also have the option to include Health Concerns and Risks Factors, Medical History, Diagnosis and Service Code(s) to show on their notes by clicking on the radio buttons at the bottom of their respective fields.

Users also have the option to change the default settings for these fields in Personal Preferences under the Note Settings tab.

When a box is checked here, this will default the field to Yes in your notes and will include the information in your compiled notes.
