[Rcopia4] Adding a Custom Pharmacist Note in DrFirst

There is a way to have messages to the pharmacist be continuously enabled so that you don't have to re-type it for every prescription.

Please follow the steps below.

Go to DrFirst (from the Chart Room, Demographics, or a prescribing Progress note). Once in, click the menu icon at the top left of the page

From the dropdown, select “Settings”

In Manage Settings, click to go to “Location”

Scroll down to the Custom pharmacist notes field in the Prescription section.

You can create a custom message that will be sent directly to the pharmacist on select prescriptions.

Once the message is typed in, scroll to the bottom of the page and click to save.

When you next create a new prescription, locate the “Directions to Pharmacist” field and click the + icon to see available options. Click to make a selection; the text will be included within the script for the pharmacist to view.
