Printing an Entire Patient Chart / Print Medical Records in Classic

To print an entire patient chart:

1.  Log into ICANotes and open the chart you want to print.

2.  Access the “Reports” menu from the top-left of the screen.

3.  Select “Billing/Productivity Report” from the dropdown list.

4.  Set the Date Range: the Start date should ideally be the date of admission or any date before admission, while the End date should be today's date.

5.  Clear the Provider field of any clinicians listed by clicking the   button.

6.  Indicate your Note Types and whether to include unsigned notes. Click the   button to view all available note types for inclusion or exclusion.

7.  Click on  button to run the report.

8. After the report runs, click on  at the top of the screen and follow your normal printing prompts.

Keep in mind that this will print everything but the patient's demographics page.  To print demographics, open the demographics page of the patient chart and click the  button.

To use less paper or create an electronic version, we recommend using a PDF Printer. While most PDF printing options such Adobe PDF will permit printing a single note to PDF, you may want to print the entire chart at one time to one PDF file. We recommend PDFCreator, and have created this knowledge base article outlining the steps needed to download, install, and utilize the app.

Printing from Chrome when logged in through your browser, you will encounter this Print Preview. You can select your printer or you can use the Save As PDF option from the dropdown menu.

Once you have selected to Save to PDF, Click on the 'Save' button.

Another window will populate to save the file.

1. Select the Destination to save your file.

2. Give it a name that will be easily recognizable.

3. Click Save.

Once the file has been saved, click on the small X in the top right corner of the Print window to close the Print Preview.
