Question: How can I decrease the amount of paper used when printing a chart?

Answer: Use clinical summaries for progress notes. This will decrease the amount of paper that you use. See our How to Create a Clinical Summary Knowledge Base Article for more information.

This progress note will take ten pages to print out. 

I can turn this progress note into a Clinical Summary from the Finished Note by clicking the  button.

On the Clinical Summary, fill out the top fields to indicate what you would like included. This summary will have all fields filled out. Compile the note when ready.

The Clinical Summary will print in two pages.
