1. If you have a printed medication order sheet, compare it against the MAR for accuracy. If you do not have a printed medication order sheet, you can generate one by clicking the Print Clinical Order Sheet button in the compiled note where the medication was prescribed.
Example: print preview of the Clinical Order Sheet
B. When you return to the Finished Note screen you can click to Review MAR.
C. Now you can compare the two lists to ensure accuracy. Note: the blue X (some accounts may see two blue X's) indicates the medication has not yet been verified.
2. If the medication is correct MAR, click Not Verified to verify it.
3. You'll see a prompt asking you to confirm verification of the order. Click Yes to proceed. Sometimes a second verification is needed (if the group rule is enabled). This note also requires that a second verification can be done. Ask a colleague to verify the medication the second time (alternatively, although not preferred, you can verify a second time).
4. The second person will receive the popup confirmation list. Click Yes.
5. Notice that the blue X over the medication name will disappear after verified. The medication now states “Verified”. Also, the Administer button will change from pink to grey.
6. You can now administer the medication as directed.
