1. Determine which chart you want to keep and which duplicated chart needs to be deleted.
2. For each note in the duplicate chart to be deleted, preview the note and use the "Copy Contents of Text Only into clipboard" button to copy the contents of the note for pasting into the correct chart.
3. Open the correct chart and create a note with the same note title (e.g., Progress Note, Initial Evaluation, etc.) and paste the text into the work area, making sure to back date according to the original note date as needed.
A. Change the Note Date.
B. Take out any preexisting headings in the yellow fields.
C. You don't want to include Notes/Risk Factors, Medications, or Medical History in note (they may already exist in your prior note.
D. Put in a service code if this still needs to be billed.
E. Make sure after all pasting and changes made that the note is in the original note holder's name.
4. Have the original note owner compile the note and repeat for existing notes in the duplicate chart
5. Once all notes have been copied, delete the duplicate chart using the Delete This Chart button in the upper right corner of the Chart Face.
To combine any duplicate notes you might have:
Preview the duplicate note and use the "Copy Contents of Text Only into clipboard" button on the right of the note to copy the contents into the note you'd like to keep. Make sure to delete the duplicate note as needed using the button when previewing.
