Group Rule "Require TP Before Note Creation"

In the June 2020 release, we introduced a new group rule, "Require TP Before Note Creation". When enabled, a clinical user (whose discipline is not Office or Administrator) will be prevented from creating a new progress note until a Treatment Plan exists for the patient. The group rule applies to the following note types:

• Prescriber
• Therapist
• Nursing
• Couples/Family Therapy
• Group Therapy
• Case/Social Worker
• Dietician
• Play Therapy
• Primary Care
• Quick Note

  If a clinician attempts to create a new progress note before a Treatment Plan has been completed, they will receive an error alert with the following message: There is no Treatment Plan for this patient. You are required to add a Treatment Plan before creating your note.        Once a Treatment Plan is created for the patient, the error alert will no longer prompt the clinician.    Security Administrators wishing to enable this group rule for their account may do so by locating the rule in Security Center > Group Rules > Mandates, or call Support at 443-569-8778 to request the rule.
