Cannot Sign and Send Controlled Substance Prescriptions (Update TOU)

Cannot Sign and Send Controlled Substance Prescriptions (Update TOU)

If you are a prescribing clinician in ICANotes and see an error messaging when trying to prescribe controlled substances, the reason may be that you need to agree to updated terms of use from DrFirst. Currently this cannot be done within ICANotes, but can be quickly accomplished by accessing an external DrFirst website with your provider NPI and token information. Please follow the steps below. When you have agreed to the updated terms of use please return to ICANotes to resume prescribing.

Please follow the steps below if you received this notification: "We are extreme sorry but the prescription cannot be signed and sent at this time. Please contact your system administrator"

Step 1:  Click to access the EPCS Gold Prescriber Dashboard

Step 2:  Log in with your NPI and Passphrase (controlled substance password). Complete login by selecting your token from the dropdown and entering your One Time Pin (OTP) from that token.

Step 3:  Read and accept the updated Terms of Use.
