1. A Security Administrator needs to activate the 'Show Supervising Provider in Demographics' rule in the Security Center under Group Rules.
2. A Group Administrator then needs to go to Group Level Settings & Directories Insur Payers tab and select the insurance company that needs the supervising provider's NPI. In my example, I am using Cigna. I select Cigna on the left and then click anywhere within the Professional field on the right for the popover to open.
3. A Group Administrator then needs to activate the 'Add Supervising Provider in Service Loop' or 'Add Ordering Provider in Service Loop.' It would be unusual for both to be enabled, but for this demonstration I am using both.
4. Click to save the changes.
5. A user can go to the Other Contacts tab in Demographics to add the supervising provider and NPI in the tab area provided. (If the group rule was enabled per the first instruction in this article.)
6. Go to the Ordering Provider tab and add the Ordering Provider Name and NPI.
Click the button to save the information and return to the patient's Chart Face.
7. When an ANSI is run for the patient with Cigna, the Supervising Provider's Name and NPI or the Ordering Provider's Name and NPI will show.
Watch our demonstration on the two new ANSI options: Supervising Provider in Service Loop and Ordering Provider in Service Loop.
