Role-Based Security for Non-Clinical Role

A user having the pre-defined Role of "Non-Clinical":

  • Has access to following screens
    • Calendar
    • Patient Account
    • Patient Demographics
  • NOT able to have access to the chart
  • Productivity Report option is not available from main B/P Report screen
  • Finished Note preview is not viewable from Billing Report option
  • Print this Note and Print These Notes is not available on Billing Report
  • Work areas from Billing Report are viewable and editable
    • Preview Finished Note is hidden/disabled
  • Cannot access Chart Face from calendar (hide option)
  • Cannot access Chart Face from Patient Account (hide option)

Security Administrators should never assign this role to him/herself.

To assign a user with the non-clinical role-based security designation, Security Administrators will navigate to group level Settings and Directories, then click Screenshot for Role-Based Security for Non-Clinical Role to go to the Security Center (following a password prompt). Scroll to the username whose account you wish to modify, then click the Screenshot for Role-Based Security for Non-Clinical Role button to make changes

Next to the user's discipline, you will see the "Role" option. Click in the dropdown field to select "Non-Clinical"

This is what the Chart Face will look like for a Non-Clinical Role user:

To remove the Non-Clinical designation, following the same steps to go to the Security Center and edit the user account, then in the Role field click the red X to remove the designation

Save your changes and go back to the Security Center. The user should Screenshot for Role-Based Security for Non-Clinical Role from the Chart Room, then log back in to see their updated settings.
