Reviewing Patient Logs
1. Access the Logs tab on the patient Chart Face.
2. A variety of patient information is recorded and tracked over time. The Logs Tab defaults to open on the Medication Log when first accessed. (The Logs tab remembers the last Log that was viewed, so if you checked a Problem/Diagnosis log on your last chart, that would be where the log would open for the next chart). Click on the 'Medication Log' button to access a dropdown list of available logs (shown below).
In the drop down, the log you are viewing will be indicated with a check mark. Click on the tile of any of the logs to view the information.
3. Any information you enter in a completed and compiled progress note is automatically entered into the appropriate log without you having to take any further action. For example, if you were to enter in a medication for a patient in a standard progress note and compile the note, that medication would automatically show in that patient’s Medication Log.
4. In the Medication Log and Problem/Diagnosis Log there are icons that you can click on to get more information about the medication or diagnosis.
5. This is an example of the Medline Plus Connect additional information that is shown if the icon is clicked. The links listed in the documentation are not intended to be clicked within ICANotes, but can be accessed externally by entering them into your browser. You are able to Print the information if you would like. Click 'Back' to return to the Log.
