ICD-10 Shortlist Start and End Dates

  • Sections
    • Change the status from the dropdown window.
    • Click into the End Date field and select the date.
      • The start/end dates will not be on the finished note.

This knowledge base article will demonstrate the new start and end dates that are available from the Short List diagnosis area. This applies to the following notes:

  • Complete Evaluation, Finish Initial tab
  • Prescriber Progress Note, Part 2 tab
  • Prescriber Progress Note, Part 2 tab of simplified style
  • Therapy Progress Note
  • Group Therapy Note
  • Play Therapy Note
  • Preadmission Assessment
  • Chemical Dependency Assessment
  • Dietitian Progress Note
  • Case/Social Worker (if group rule to show diagnosis is enabled)
  • Quick Note (formerly Clinical Note Without Encounter)
  • Primary Care Note

1. Go to any of the notes listed above and enter the diagnosis field.

2. Choose a diagnosis from your short list dropdown. 

3. Click into the date field and choose the Start Date.

4. If a diagnosis has been resolved or no longer applies, to the patient, you can enter in an end date. 

    A. Change the status from the dropdown window. 

    B. Click into the End Date field and select the date.

5. The start/end dates will not be on the finished note.
