In ICANotes+, you can sync your google calendar with ICANotes+ calendar. This process is bi-directional meaning that appointments from ICANotes+ are pushed to your personal calendar, and events from your Google Calendar are pulled into your ICANotes+ Calendar.
To maintain HIPAA compliance, ICANotes+ will not send a clientโs first or last name to your Google Calendar. By default, events synced from ICANotes+ to Google Calendar will appear as "ICANotes Appointment" without any Protected Health Information (PHI).
If your practice has a business account with Google, has signed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google, and you are interested in pushing PHI to your Google Calendar from ICANotes+, please email ticket@icanotes.com with a copy of your BAA and permission to enable the PHI sync feature.
Click here to follow the instructions on signing a BAA with Google.
Log in to ICANotes+.
Click on your Profile icon in the top-right corner.
Select Personal Preferences from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the Calendar Settings > Calendar Sync Settings > Google Calendar Sync to begin the integration process.
Click on the Sign in with Google button.
Select the Google account you want to sync.
Grant ICANotes+ the necessary permissions to access your Google Calendar.
Click Continue to confirm access.
Configure the sync options displayed on the screen:
Push to Calendar: When enabled, this feature ensures that events from your ICANotes+ calendar are also shown on your Google Calendar.
Note: New events created in ICANotes+ should appear on your Google Calendar within a few seconds.
Pull from Calendar: When enabled, this feature ensures that events from your Google Calendar are also displayed on your ICANotes+ calendar. You can select which Google Calendars to show on your ICANotes+ calendar.
Notes:
Open your Google Calendar and ICANotes+ Calendar.
Create a test event in one calendar and check if it appears in the other.
If the event does not sync, revisit the Calendar Sync Settings and ensure permissions are correctly granted.
To disable sync, return to Calendar Sync Settings and click Disconnect your Google Calendar.
If syncing issues occur:
Reauthorize Google access in settings.
Check for any Google account restrictions.
Refresh both calendars and try again.
