Grant User Access to Lab Management

Overview 

This Knowledge Base article provides comprehensive guidance on assigning user access to the Lab Management feature within the system. It outlines the step-by-step process for granting access and includes screenshots to illustrate how access limitations are displayed to users without the required permissions.

 

By using this guide, administrators can efficiently manage access and ensure that only authorized personnel can handle Lab Management related tasks.

 

 

Grant User Access to Add Lab Result 

To grant user access to add a lab result:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Lab Orders & Results tab and select the Add Lab Result checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to add lab result will receive the following restriction message. 

 

 

 

Grant User Access to Create Lab Order 

To grant user access to create a lab order:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Lab Orders & Results tab and select the Create Lab Order checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to create lab order will receive the restriction message. Refer to the following screens.

 

 

 

 

Grant User Access to View Lab Orders and Results 

To grant user access to view lab orders and results:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Lab Orders & Results tab and select the View Lab Orders & Results checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission will not see the Labs section in the left sidebar, as shown below.
