Grant User Access to Document Management

Overview  

This Knowledge Base article provides comprehensive guidance on assigning user access to the Document Management feature within the system. It outlines the step-by-step process for granting access and includes screenshots to illustrate how access limitations are displayed to users without the required permissions.

 

By using this guide, administrators can efficiently manage access and ensure that only authorized personnel can handle Document Management related tasks.

 

 

Grant User Access to Delete Client Documents 

To grant user access to delete client documents:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Documents tab and select the Delete Client Documents checkbox.

 

 

 

 

Navigate to Chart Room > Documents tab and click the three dots on the far right side to access the Delete option. 


 

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to delete a document will receive the following restriction message. 



 

 

Grant User Access to Download/Print Client Documents 

To grant user access to download/print client documents:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Documents tab and select the Download and Print Documents checkbox.

 

 

Navigate to Chart Room > Documents tab and click the three dots on the far right side to access the Download and Print options. 



 

 

Users without this permission attempting to download or print a document will receive the following restriction message. 



 

Grant User Access to Share Client Documents  

To grant user access to share client documents:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Documents tab and select the Share Documents checkbox.

 

 

Navigate to Chart Room > Documents tab and click the three dots on the far right side to access the Share and Share to Sign options. 



 

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to share a document will receive the following restriction message. 

 

 

 

 

Grant User Access to Upload Client Documents  

To grant user access to upload client documents:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Documents tab and select the Upload Client Documents checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to upload a document will receive the following restriction message. 


 

 

 

 

Grant User Access to View Client Documents 

To grant user access to view client documents:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Documents tab and select the View Client Documents checkbox.

 

 

Users without this permission attempting to access the Documents tab will receive the following restriction message.
