Grant User Access to Discharge Summary

Overview  

This Knowledge Base article provides comprehensive guidance on assigning user access to the Discharge Summary feature within the system. It outlines the step-by-step process for granting access and includes screenshots to illustrate how access limitations are displayed to users without the required permissions.

 

By using this guide, administrators can efficiently manage access and ensure that only authorized personnel can handle Discharge Summary-related tasks.

 

Grant User Access to Create Discharge Summary  

To grant user access to create discharge summary:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Discharge tab and select the Create Discharge Summary checkbox.

 

 

 

When you compile a note, the Create Summary dropdown appears on the top that allows the users to create discharge summary. Users without the 'Create Discharge Summary' permission will not see this option on the compiled notes.

 

 

Grant User Access to Update Discharge Summary 

To grant user access to update discharge summary:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Discharge tab and select the Edit Discharge Summary checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission will not be able to update the discharge summary details.



 

 

 

Grant User Access to View Discharge Summary  

To grant user access to view discharge summary:

 

  1. Go to Settings > Practice Settings > Roles & Permissions.
  2. Select the Edit button for the desired role.
  3. On the Update Role screen, expand the Discharge tab and select the View Discharge Summary checkbox.

 

 

 

Users without this permission will not be able to view the discharge summary details.
